Amsterdam's North Sea climate means mild, grey, and frequently wet weather year-round. Summers are pleasant but unpredictable; winters are cold with fog and occasional ice on the canals (rare). The flat terrain and canals create wind exposure throughout the city.

Broken Arrow is one of Oklahoma's fastest-growing cities, a Tulsa suburb at the edge of the Ozark Plateau. The slightly more varied terrain compared to western Oklahoma provides marginal tornado protection from certain directions but still experiences significant severe weather.
