Amsterdam's North Sea climate means mild, grey, and frequently wet weather year-round. Summers are pleasant but unpredictable; winters are cold with fog and occasional ice on the canals (rare). The flat terrain and canals create wind exposure throughout the city.

Chandler in the Southeast Valley has transformed from an agricultural community to a major tech hub. The city sits farther from the Superstition Mountains than Gilbert but still sees the monsoon approaching from the southeast.
