Mediterranean — hot dry summers (Southern Hemisphere), mild wet winters

Cape Town has a classic Mediterranean climate but in the Southern Hemisphere — summers are December–February (hot and dry) and winters are June–August (cool and wet). The Cape Doctor (southeast wind) can make summer days dramatically windy. Table Mountain creates local weather patterns.

Hyderabad sits on the Deccan Plateau at an elevation of roughly 500m, giving it a more moderate semi-arid climate than lowland Indian cities. The city is shaped by its network of historic artificial lakes — particularly Hussain Sagar and the Osman Sagar–Himayat Sagar reservoir system — which create localized cooling corridors and humidity pockets. Summers are intensely hot before the southwest monsoon arrives in June, while winters are dry and mild with significant diurnal temperature swings across the city's varied terrain of granite hills, lake basins, and dense urban cores.
