Lagos is hot and humid year-round. The wet season (April–October) brings heavy rains and periodic flooding; the dry season (November–March) is the best time to visit. The harmattan wind (December–February) brings dry, hazy air from the Sahara.

Munich's climate is shaped by its position on the elevated Bavarian plateau at roughly 520m above sea level and its proximity to the northern Alps, just 100km to the south. The city experiences a humid continental climate with cold, snowy winters and warm summers, but the Föhn wind — a warm, dry downslope wind from the Alps — can raise temperatures dramatically and bring extraordinary visibility and clear skies at any time of year. The Isar river corridor, extensive English Garden parkland, and varying building densities create distinct microclimates across the city.
