Desert — unique foggy grey winters, warm sunny summers, almost no rain

Lima has the world's most paradoxical coastal desert climate. Despite being a tropical latitude, it rarely gets rain due to the cold Humboldt Current offshore. Summers (December–April) are sunny and warm; winters (June–October) are blanketed in garúa — a thick grey mist with drizzle that rarely lifts.

San Antonio is America's seventh-largest city, a River Walk city where the San Antonio River provides a natural cooling corridor through the historic core. Summers are brutally hot with triple-digit temperatures common, but the city is large enough to span different microclimates from river valley to upland. Hurricane remnants from the Gulf occasionally bring tropical flooding.
