Akron Weather in September

Akron south of Cleveland is in the 'snow belt' but on the inland side of the Portage Escarpment where lake-effect snow transitions to more continental snowfall. The city's Rubber City heritage and the Cuyahoga River source here created industrial wealth. LeBron James's hometown has a climate similar to Cleveland but with somewhat less lake-effect enhancement.

Excellent shoulder season — warm with fewer tourists in many destinations.
