Albuquerque Weather in September

Albuquerque at 5,312 feet in the Rio Grande Valley has a high desert climate with hot summers moderated by elevation and low humidity. The Sandia Mountains to the east rise dramatically to 10,378 feet, creating afternoon thunderstorms and orographic snowfall. The Rio Grande Valley position means cold winter nights while the sunny days are pleasant year-round.
