Anaheim in Orange County has a typical Southern California Mediterranean climate, though farther from the ocean than coastal cities. The Santa Ana Mountains to the east generate the infamous Santa Ana winds — hot, dry offshore blasts that can raise temperatures dramatically and create extreme fire danger.
