Asheville Weather in September

Asheville is Western North Carolina's mountain city at 2,134 feet, famous for its arts scene and craft beer. The Black Mountain to the east and Great Smoky Mountains to the west create dramatic weather contrasts. Summers are pleasantly cool compared to the rest of NC, while winter brings significant snowfall and ice storms that can isolate the mountain community. Hurricane Helene's flooding in 2024 devastated the area.
