Augusta Weather in October

Augusta on the South Carolina border at the Savannah River is famous for The Masters golf tournament in April — the most reliably perfect spring weather window in the American South. Summers are brutally hot and humid, among the hottest in Georgia. The river provides some humidity while the Piedmont location at lower elevation than Atlanta means less cooling.
