Baltimore on the Chesapeake Bay has a humid subtropical climate modified by the Bay's thermal mass. The Chesapeake moderates temperatures year-round, but summer humidity is intense and the city has significant heat vulnerability in its dense rowhouse neighborhoods. Hurricane remnants and nor'easters both affect the city seasonally.
