Casper Weather in September

Casper in central Wyoming at 5,150 feet on the North Platte River is an oil and energy city with extreme continental climate. The city has Wyoming's most dramatic wind events — the 2021 tornadoes near Casper were among the highest-elevation tornadoes recorded in the US. Casper Mountain to the south shelters the city partially from southern weather.

Excellent shoulder season — warm with fewer tourists in many destinations.
