Duluth Weather in October

Duluth on the western tip of Lake Superior has the most dramatic lake-effect climate in the country. Lake Superior — the world's largest freshwater lake — keeps the city remarkably cool in summer (rarely above 80°F) while lake-effect snowstorms can be intense. The city's dramatic hillside topography creates strong elevation weather differences.
