Grand Rapids Weather in October

Grand Rapids is Michigan's second city, on the Grand River in western Michigan. Lake Michigan 30 miles to the west creates significant lake-effect snow — the city averages 70+ inches annually. The lake also moderates summer temperatures, making Grand Rapids more pleasant than cities farther from the lake. The 'Beer City USA' of craft brewing has benefited from the moderate beer-making climate.
