Great Falls Weather in September

Great Falls on the Missouri River is Montana's windiest city, exposed to the open Hi-Line plains. Chinook winds from the Rocky Mountains can raise temperatures 50°F in hours, setting world records for rapid temperature rises. The city experienced a 103°F rise in 24 hours in 1972 — the largest temperature change ever recorded.
