Huntsville Weather in October

Huntsville sits in the Tennessee Valley of northern Alabama, hemmed in by Monte Sano and Green mountains. This valley position creates temperature inversions, foggy mornings, and slightly cooler summers than southern Alabama. The city is somewhat sheltered from the worst Gulf moisture but still sees active thunderstorm seasons.
