Jackson Weather in September

Jackson, Mississippi's capital, in the Pearl River valley has a hot humid subtropical climate with high annual rainfall. The city gained national attention during the 2022-2023 water crisis when infrastructure failures left hundreds of thousands without water during flooding and extreme cold. Summer is brutally hot and humid while severe thunderstorms are frequent.
