Lake Charles Weather in September

Lake Charles in southwest Louisiana was struck by two major hurricanes in six weeks in 2020 — Laura (Category 4) and Delta (Category 2) — causing unprecedented destruction. The city on the Calcasieu Lake/River system has significant maritime Gulf exposure. Recovery from the 2020 storms is ongoing and the experience has heightened awareness of hurricane climate risk.
