Las Cruces Weather in September

Las Cruces in the Mesilla Valley of the Rio Grande near El Paso has a hot desert climate tempered by 3,900-foot elevation. The Organ Mountains to the east create dramatic afternoon storms during monsoon season. The city is sunnier and drier than Albuquerque with more heat days — temperatures regularly exceed 100°F in summer.
