About Usera in April
Usera occupies low-lying terrain south of the Manzanares where cold air drainage from the plateau concentrates on still winter nights, producing some of Madrid's lowest urban temperatures and frequent frost. In summer, the flat topography and lack of significant tree cover leave the district fully exposed to the intense solar radiation of the central meseta.
