Montpelier Weather in October

Montpelier is the smallest state capital in the US, nestled in a river valley in the Green Mountains. The valley position creates cold air pooling in winter making it one of Vermont's colder cities. Flooding from the Winooski River has repeatedly affected the city, including a major flood in 2023.
