Rochester Weather in September

Rochester on Lake Ontario is New York's third-largest city and equally famous for lake-effect snow but from Lake Ontario rather than Erie. The city averages 100 inches of snow annually. Rochester also claims the least sunny days in the US — the cloud cover from Lake Ontario is persistent from October through May.
