Roswell Weather in September

Roswell is famous for the 1947 UFO incident but has a more earthly claim to interesting weather — it sits at the base of the Pecos River valley between the Rockies and the High Plains. The city has a semi-arid high plains climate with significant temperature extremes and occasional severe weather from both mountain and plains patterns.

Excellent shoulder season — warm with fewer tourists in many destinations.
