Topeka Weather in April

Topeka, Kansas' capital, on the Kansas River in northeast Kansas has a continental climate with strong Great Plains characteristics. The city is west of the most active tornado corridors but still experiences significant severe weather. The Kansas River valley creates fog and flooding risk while winters can be surprisingly harsh.
