Warsaw Weather in August

Warsaw sits on the Vistula River plain in central Poland, fully exposed to continental weather extremes. The city has some of Europe's greatest seasonal temperature swings — winters regularly hit -4°F while summers peak at 95°F. The Vistula valley channels cold northeasterly winds in winter that make apparent temperatures far colder than the thermometer suggests.
