Wichita Weather in April

Wichita at the confluence of the Arkansas and Little Arkansas rivers is in the heart of tornado alley on the Kansas plains. The flat terrain means extreme weather arrives without warning — tornadoes, blizzards, ice storms, and heat waves all occur here. Summer is very hot while winters bring periodic intense cold snaps from Arctic fronts.
