Winston-Salem Weather in September

Winston-Salem is the Piedmont Triad's third major city, home to Wake Forest University and once the headquarters of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco. The city's Piedmont Plateau position at around 900 feet provides some moderation versus lower-elevation NC cities. Old Salem's historic district preserves Moravian architecture designed for the regional climate.

Excellent shoulder season — warm with fewer tourists in many destinations.
