Bangkok's tropical savanna climate delivers three distinct seasons: a hot season from March to May with temperatures above 35°C and suffocating humidity, a wet season from June to October driven by the Southwest Monsoon with daily heavy downpours, and a cooler dry season from November to February that attracts most tourists. The city sits on a flat delta plain barely 1.5 meters above sea level, making it highly flood-prone during monsoon season.
