Pensacola Weather in August

Pensacola in the Florida Panhandle is the westernmost major Florida city, with a climate more similar to southern Alabama than peninsular Florida. Pensacola Bay and the Gulf of Mexico provide moderation but the city sees stronger winter cold fronts than southern Florida.
