Vienna Weather in December

Vienna's climate sits at the crossroads of oceanic and continental influences, with the Wienerwald (Vienna Woods) to the west acting as a natural barrier against Atlantic weather systems. The Danube River and its canal create cooling corridors through the city, while the flat Pannonian Plain to the east channels hot, dry air in summer and bitter cold winds in winter.
